William Harvey: Mysteries of the Heart

A skilled dissector of human corpses, William Harvey made many observations of the human heart that led him to experiments on living humans that confirmed the heart the organ that pumps blood (recycling it) through the body. This conclusion invalidated hundreds of years of scientific thinking.
